GHMC, Radio Mirchi initiate campaign on plastic ban

Kukatpally: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) in collaboration with Radio Mirchi is initiating awareness campaign for sensitising citizens about solid waste management in the city. The Deputy Commissioner of Kukatpally T Dasarath of circle 24 participated, here on Monday.

RJ Swetha from Radio Mirchi along with the staff of the Radio Mirchi participated in the awareness campaign. RJ Swatha interacted with Kukatpally residents and asked them to commit say ‘No to Plastic’ and also gave tips to segregate dry and wet waste. Later, she said for achieving this goal the GHMC was encouraging the citizens to take an oath to refuse the use of single plastic products such as carry bags and PET bottles.
