Kukatpally: For a few days now, the drainage leakage at the Sangeeth Nagar irked the residents and commuters. The manhole overflowing is causing water-logging and foul smell. A commuter said the stretch was often rendered unmotorable as overflowing sewage stagnated for days.

Ravinder Kumar, a resident of Sangeeth Nagar Colony, said, “After many complaints to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) they sanctioned funds for new lines but no work has been started here.” He lamented that overflowed drainage entered into the houses and residents fall prey to diseases.

Enquiring about the issue the GHMC Moosapet EE said, “In nearby lanes of Sangeeth Nagar have been replaced the old line with new one and now three lanes have been left which will get completed in this month.”
