366 agitators taken into custody: CP

City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma on Saturday said that 366 agitators were taken into custody at various places as part of the precautionary measures in view of ‘Save Andhra Pradesh’. He said that the TJAC and pro-Telangana organisations observed bandh in Hyderabad city in protest against the APNGO meeting. “As a result, commercial establishments and government offices remain close. The RTC suspended its bus operations in the city. As many 147 protesters have been detained by Central Zone, while 94 by East Zone, 39 by West Zone and 86 by North Zone were taken into custody under Preventive Detention Act,” he stated.
