‘Capitalists fomenting unrest in Seemandhra’

Representatives from various social organisations held the upper castes for the heightening anxiety levels amongst general population in Seemandhra. At a round table conference on ‘Telangana Unfounded fears of Seemandhra-suggestions’ organised by Telangana United Front (TUF) at Somajiguda Press Club, several leaders criticised the partisan attitude of government, which allowed APNGOs to conduct meeting. Many felt that while the government crushed peaceful protests by Telangana people, APNGOs were given ‘red carpet welcome’.

At a round table conference on ‘Telangana Unfounded fears of Seemandhra-suggestions’ organised by Telangana United Front (TUF) at Somajiguda Press Club, several leaders criticised the partisan attitude of government, which allowed APNGOs to conduct meeting. Many felt that while the government crushed peaceful protests by Telangana people, APNGOs were given ‘red carpet welcome’.
Reiterating that decision on Telangana was irreversible leaders found fault with Seemandhra leaders for putting hurdles in the smooth transition. Advocate Y Koteshwara Rao said that the only solution for achieving social justice in Telangana was separation. K Dileep Kumar, MLC, asked the leaders present to organise a grand meeting in the city.
Congress MP, R Ananda Bhasker questioned as to how APNGOs were able to get permission averting all the red tape that takes several days.
“If Telangana does not materialise before the general elections, the Congress will lose everything,” he cautioned. M Venkata Rao, AIFT State secretary felt that United AP would not help Dalit-Bahujana castes in any form. He lamented that education of Dalit students was badly affected, due to ongoing agitation. POW leader Sandhya, Director Shankar, BC Forum State convenor A Murali Krishna, AP State Minorities president Md Fareed Ahmed were also present.
