Almost every city in the world has flash mob artists and this so called dance form is being used to promote a cause. Hyderabad is no different from any other international city. Flash mobs have been taking place at regular intervals across the city too. In the weekend, Centro Mall hosted a flash mob. This flash mob was dedicated to all women’s safety.

“With emphasis on safety of women gaining ground, every woman should be able to handle or tackle the situation mentally and physically without fear. Through fitness, it is always possible to improve mind and body coordination and improve the reflexes. There are so many types of fitness activities people can get involved in. Among them, flash mob is an enjoyable fitness activity which involves a lot of dancing,” said the organiser of the event.

Flash mob is a distinguished form of social activity to promote or convey a cause to the public at an instance. A group of people appear suddenly out of nowhere and perform artistic movements which draw attention of the people around. Flash mob has been an effective break in activity since its inception in Manhattan in 2003. This form reached every corner of the world through social networking platforms like Facebook and YouTube as viral videos.

Talking at the event, Sridhar Ganesh, CEO, Centro Mall, said, “Flash mob is the most effective and expressive way to convey a good cause to the society. It was a delight to host a flash mob in the mall. I congratulate all the participants and the trainer for the perfect show.”
