HDFC Bank launched the third edition of its annual sports competition, Josh Unlimited, for its employees at RRC Grounds in Secunderabad on Saturday. The event was inaugurated by Madhusudan Hegde, branch banking head - South 1, HDFC Bank. The event was a platform for bank employees to participate in sports such as cricket, football, badminton, throwball, athletics, carom, chess and table tennis among others. The competition was being organised in 25 cities across the country.

569 employees and their families from in and around Hyderabad participated in the event. Last year, more than 28,000 employees of the bank participated in the competition held at 15 locations over a period of five months. “Physical activity is an important aspect of our overall health and well-being. I am happy that we have this excellent platform that gives us the opportunity to participate in various sporting events,” Madhusudan said.

Naina Panse, head - employee engagement, HDFC Bank, said, “We expect more than 30,000 employees from over 300 locations to participate in the event. Through this event employees from different branches and locations come together for a day of friendly competition. Josh Unlimited helps them build team spirit and camaraderie in a more informal setting.
