The association members advised them precautionary measures to be taken and how medicines should be administered to adults and children.

The association members advised them precautionary measures to be taken and how medicines should be administered to adults and children.

Ganji Yadagiri, an advocate and president of NATWA, said, “Swine Flu is a threat to citizens and as on date 47 people have died. Patients who are suffering from cold and fever may be treated at home by administering paracetamol tablets to control fever within 3 days. If the fever continues beyond three days, consult the doctor and stay at home for seven days.

Advocates and cops advice  public on the precautionary  measures for Swine Flu

If a person is confirmed to be attacked by swine flu, antiviral drugs should be administered. The drugs work best if administered immediately after developing H1N1 symptoms. Beside antivirals, care should be taken at home or in the hospital ti maintain fluid balance, as well as identifying and treating any secondary infections or other medical problems. The use of oseltamivir (Tamiflu) or zanamivir (Relenza) for the treatment and/or prevention of infection is recommended.”
