  • 70% of retail space is booked

According to a senior Metro Rail official, cementing, concreting, fixing escalators and developing footpaths are being taken up. “More than 70 per cent of the work has been completed in 80 per cent of the stretch. In the next fifteen days, work on the remaining areas too would be completed,” said an official.

Metro Rail at Uppal depot

“Greenery between pillars would be completed once the footpath work gets over,” says an official. The distance between stations would be one km and all the stations will have stores. 70 per cent of the retail space has already been booked. The stations have three levels, the retail stores would be on the second level which would be a non-paid level and accessible to all even without tickets.
