Jeffrey Archer to launch his book in city today
British author Jeffrey Archer will launch his latest book ‘Mighter Than The Sword’, the fifth installment of the seven part Clifton Chronicles, at 6:30 pm at Crossword, Inorbit Mall, Madhapur, today. Archer, a former MP and convicted perjurer, released the first book in the Clifton Chronicles, ‘Only Time Will Tell’, in Bengaluru in 2011 and was a bestseller worldwide.

Archer, a former MP and convicted perjurer, released the first book in the Clifton Chronicles, ‘Only Time Will Tell’, in Bengaluru in 2011 and was a bestseller worldwide. Subsequent books of the series, ‘The Sins of the Father’, ‘Best Kept Secret’ and ‘Be Careful What You Wish For’, were also bestsellers.
During his time in jail, the author penned a three-volume memoir, ‘A Prison Diary’, modelled after Dante’s ‘Divine Comedy’. This will be the second time the author will be visiting the city. 250 million copies of his works have been sold worldwide and he has a strong readership in India too. The author began his Indian tour with Mumbai on Monday and then visited Pune and Bengaluru on Tuesday and Wednesday. After stopping by in the city, he will visit Kolkata.
