RailYatri.in launched the first pan-India app for local train commuters, covering local trains in the top eleven metros of the country, including Hyderabad, on Friday. The app lists the timings of local trains to a desired destination. The local trains feature in the app allows the users to access information about 170 local trains in the city. The network covers more than 85 local stations in Hyderabad till Secunderabad, Alwal, Ramannapet, Shankarpalli, Vishnupuram, Begumpet and Tandur being the routes with major traffic. Also, the local trains feature displays a complete list of cities.

Speaking about the app, RailYatri.in co-founder and CEO Manish Rathi said, “Despite the fact that 28 to 35 per cent of population in every metro commute by local trains, this mode of transport has not been given much attention. Hence, we decided to bridge the gap and make local train commuters’ lives simpler. Today’s train traveller doesn't want to be bothered with too many apps and the new app is a comprehensive solution.”

With the app, users can also see all the trains going towards a desired destination station. Daily commuters have an option of saving the route, so that the next train to a particular destination is always displayed on opening the app. RailYatri app has more than 5,500 local trains and the network is spread over 1,300 railway stations.
