EFLU to adopt Telangana villages

Till now IITs and NITs only have adopted villages as part of the UBA programme initiated by the Ministry of HRD and with the initiative the EFLU will become the first university to be part of the UBA initiative

Hyderabad: As part of the Unnatha Barath Abhiyan (UBA) scheme, the EFLU (English and Foreign Languages University) will be adopting five villages in Warangal, Medak and Ranga Reddy districts in Telangana State. The EFLU will offer skill development training, improve the school education, and will create e-commerce facilities in the adopted villages.

The villages to be adopted include Nidigonda in Warangal district and Eddu Mailaram and Nandikandi in Medak and Taramatipet and Ibrahimpatnam in Ranga Reddy district. The EFLU will begin works in the villages after completion of summer vacation in June this year.

“Till now IITs and NITs only have adopted villages as part of the UBA programme initiated by the Ministry of HRD and with the initiative the EFLU will become the first university to be part of the UBA initiative,” said Prof. Sunaina Singh, University’s Vice Chancellor.
