Hyderabad: City-based NephroPlus, a dialysis care network, on Monday announced its plan to enter the South East Asia and Middle East dialysis market. It also announced acquisition of DaVita Care India, the dialysis and kidney care centre of US-based company DaVita Care.
At present, NephroPlus has 153 centres in 92 cities across 18 states in India. By next year, the company plans to expand its presence in the international market by acquiring 20 small dialysis centres under joint venture.
For the international expansion, it plans to raise nearly Rs 150 crore in Series D of PE funding, from the existing and new investors.
Vikram Vuppala, Founder and CEO, NephroPlus, said, “we firmly believe that a sustainable business model is scalable. To scale up in the dialysis market, we are expanding our footprint.
However, the countries in South East Asia and Middle East are yet to be finalised. By acquiring majority stake in the dialysis unit of a hospital or pharmacy chain, we will provide the dialysis scale, whereas the local support will be extended by these units.”
