Connect IN: Bridging Entrepreneurs from India, Nepal together
The International Entrepreneurship Conclave- IN organised by the Embassy of India in association with Clock b Business Innovations
Kathmandu [Nepal]: The International Entrepreneurship Conclave- IN organised by the Embassy of India in association with Clock b Business Innovations held in Kathmandu has brought 300 entrepreneurs from India and Nepal.
The event chaired by Finance Minister of Nepal Yubaraj Khatiwada witnessed the participation of 300 entrepreneurs, investors, incubators, consultants and start-up ecosystem players who underwent the selection process.
"I would hope that this sort of conclave will help shade light on how the government should be functioning to create a better eco-system on businesses to grow and perhaps this would be the best opportunity when we have the better network of entrepreneurs," Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada, the Minister for Finance, Nepal said while addressing the conclave.
The one-day event had the participation of seven Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and investors from India and eight from here.
"India has always been a major partner of Nepal in all sectors of society, economy, politics, education, and agriculture. We feel very happy that we see this connectivity of young people go forward because I have already said; at the end, it's 'You' which matters," Manjeev Singh Puri, Ambassador of India to Nepal said.
The participants in the conclave expressed their happiness saying that the conclave has catered their personality and groomed them.
"There are a lot of young people, who are actually interested in starting their own ventures and this conclave will even really inspire them, that's the first thing that any starting entrepreneur looks at and also would give them a space to interact with similar minded people to take the convention forward and to execute their ideas. That's why I think this conclave will provide to the youths of Nepal and India," Narayana, one of the participant told ANI.
Around 300 participants were selected after the seven entrepreneurial meet-ups, seven-day city tour, 10 College activities, four days mentorship and workshop reaching 500,000 entrepreneurial minds of Nepal.
Amongst the 600 registered entrepreneurs registering for the conclave, only 300 made to the seminar held on Saturday.
"Unemployment is definitely one of the biggest concerns that young peoples in this country have as well as the government and they are always finding ways and solution to address this and I think such forums and conclaves where you have people from business industry, from the start-up industry coming in and sharing the ideas, the possibilities that have there for the youths," Celeste Rodrigues, another participant in the conclave told ANI.
"I think these sort of events are very much important for the young people to attend such conclaves because these are the place where the people actually see the opportunities and connect people who are the ones creating these employment opportunities within the country," Rodrigues added.
