MLA Jalagam Venkatrao urges people to travel in RTC buses
The MLA said travelling in the RTC buses was always safe particularly for women even during nights. The general public who travel frequently and daily should purchase season tickets to travel throughout the month paying the charge for 20 days. He advised the officials to invent ways to improve RTC revenues.
Kothagudem: Distributing RTC bus passes to the 24 girl students of polytechnic college at Kothaugdem bus station here on Thursday, MLA Jalagam Venkatrao appealed to the people to travel in RTC buses by purchasing season tickets to strengthen the state-owned corporation.
The MLA said travelling in the RTC buses was always safe particularly for women even during nights. Depot Manager Samineni Nageswara Rao said issuing bus passes would solve the problem of small denomination currency and coins. If the managements of schools and colleges announce their reopening dates, the bus passes would be directly issued in their educational institutions, he added.RTC divisional manager K John Reddy, station manager RV Bhadram, RTC staff and others were present.
