The works ensuring protected water supply to households through taps is scheduled to be completed by July 10, 2018. The project is being taken up by Mega Infrastructures, Pochampad, Koya and Gaja companies. 

Kothagudem: The Phase I works of Mission Bhageeratha near Rathamgutta on the border of Manuguru and Aswapuram are going on at a fast pace. Once the works done, drinking water would be provided to the residents of 22 mandals in Aswaraopet, Sathupalli, Kothagudem, Yellandu and Wyra constituencies of Khammam district and also seven mandals in Pinapaka Assembly segment in Kothagudem.

The works ensuring protected water supply to households through taps is scheduled to be completed by July 10, 2018. The project is being taken up by Mega Infrastructures, Pochampad, Koya and Gaja companies.

It envisages diversion of the Godavari water near Chinnaravigudem to overhead tanks atop a hill with capacities of 3,900 and 900 kilo litres. The 900 kl purified water will be supplied to seven mandals in Pinapaka constituency.

The 3,900 kl water is to be provided to 22 mandals in Khammam district through thermal Phase II near Thoggudem in Palvancha. Local MLA Payam Venkateshwarlu told The Hans India that efforts were on to complete the project work on a war-footing. V Venkatarama Rao, a local, hoped that the project would pave way for solving the drinking water problems faced by the two districts.
