Nalgonda: District collector Gaurav Uppal stated that following the State government’s direction, the district administration has decided to correct the mistakes in revenue records of lands in the district from September 15 to December 15.

Addressing the newsmen at Collectorate on Sunday, Uppal informed that the main aim of the programme was to maintain the records of land owners with ground reality details and to facilitate transparency and to know ascertain the details of the lands.

He said the new Nalgonda district has patta lands area of 12,58,565 acres and government lands spread in 1,83,756 acres. For checking of land records, the district administration has constituted teams with Tahsildars, Deputy Tahsildhars, Agriculture Extension Officers and Surveyors. The team will tour every village for 10 days to rectify the mistakes after examining the evidences and enquiries. During the correction, officials take the help of farmer coordination committees, he added.

A toll free number 18004251442 was established by the district administration to receive complaints and suggestions pertaining to correction programme, he added. Joint Collector Satyanarayana Reddy and DRO Kheemya Naik attended the press meet.
