Bhadrachalam: District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu on Monday directed the Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation (TSMDC) officials to submit reports on sand reaches within two days, after solving the problems of audit and other issues.

He was addressing the Prajavani programme attended by the district officials. The Collector, who received representations from people, issued the orders in response. He advised the TSMDC officials to solve the problems of audit and other issues, while suggesting that they give written replies to people if the problems could not be solved.

The Collector said the first anniversary celebrations of the district formation day would be conducted on October 11 at Kothagudem Club.

All officials should attend the function, he stressed. He further stated that District Public Relations Officer should provide the details of various welfare schemes to the people. He asked officials to prepare the list of the selected beneficiaries of the schemes.

The representations received by the Collector include the ones submitted by Adivasi Hakkula Parirakshana Samiti convener Kalluri Narsimha Rao seeking audit of sand reaches since 2015 and sanction of wages for 45 labourers of Garimella nursery, and settlement of the land dispute in R.Kothagudem of Charla mandal by Irva Ramayya.

An inter-caste couple Rama Rao and Roja of Battupalli village in Karakagudem mandal sought sanction of a two-bedroom house. The All-pensioners and Retired Persons’ Association president Bandu Venkateshwar Rao pleaded for immediate implementation of the Tenth PRC recommendations.

Among those present were DRDA Project Director Jagathkumar Reddy, RDO Sivanarayana Reddy, SDC Venkateshwarlu, Girijan Welfare DD Rammurthy, APO Bheem Rao.
