Nalgonda: BJP state leader and former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy has come down heavily on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for stating that the opposition parties were creating hurdles in state’s development, especially in the construction of irrigation projects.

On Monday, Nagam along with party activists visited the entrance and exit points of SLBC tunnel in Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda districts and inspected the Nakkalagandi reservoir works at Mannevarigudem of Chandampet mandal in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, he stated that during the election campaign K Chandrashekar Rao alleged that SLBC tunnel works were stalled due to discrimination by united Andhra rulers and promised to finish the project after the formation of Telangana state. But, he did nothing for the project completion in the last three-and-a-half-year rule of TRS.

He demanded the government to complete the remaining 40 per cent works of the tunnel to provide irrigation facility to 3 lakh acres and drinking water to more than thousand villages.

Advising the Chief Minister to not to create confusion among the people with irrigation proposal of merging Musi with Krishna at Peddadevulapally reservoir, he demanded the government to complete all pending projects.

MLA Kishan Reddy, MLC Ramchander Rao, district president Nukala Narsimha Reddy and other saffron leaders took part in the meeting.
