Khammam: District convener of Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) Dr Papa Rao alleged that the State government has failed in fulfilling its polls promises and was not committed towards full implementation of welfare schemes that were introduced for the well-being of people.

Rao along with the representatives of student and youth unions released a wall poster of ‘Koluvula Kai Kotlata’ (Fight for Jobs) meeting, to be held October 31 in Hyderabad, here at Amaraveerula Sthupam in Khammam on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the JAC leader said many unemployed youth in the State thought that their lives would change after Telangana was formed.

However, much to their disappointment, the government has been playing with their lives by not filling the vacancies despite completing three years in power.

Before taking steps to provide jobs, the government must pay them pension, he demanded.

The JAC leader further urged the representatives of various peoples organisations including students and jobless youth to attend the meeting in large numbers and make it a grand success.

Similarly, the District general secretary of All India Youth Federation (AIYF) Siddineni Karna Kumar alleged that TRS government had utterly failed in providing employment opportunities to the youth of the State.

Speaking at a district committee meeting in Khammam on Tuesday, Kumar alleged that the TRS government instead of providing jobs was robbing the State of its money and pushing it into debts by investing crores of rupees on projects like Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya.

He sought the government to fulfill poll promise and work for overall development of the State. He further urged jobless youth, students to take part in CPI’s Praja Poru Yatra on October 27 and make it a grand success.
