Khammam: All India Democratic Women Association (AIDWA) district secretary Macharla Bharati demanded the government to withdraw the decision of reducing the quota of Kerosene in the ration.

The representatives of the AIDWA conducted a signature campaign protesting the decision taken by the government for reducing the kerosene quota, here at Ramanagutta in Khammam on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, Bharati alleged that with an intention to dissolve the Public Distribution System, the government deliberately took the decision of cut in kerosene quota.

“Many poor in the State are dependent on the ration provided to them on the subsidies. Reducing the subsidies will affect their lives,” she pointed out, demanding the government to withdraw its decision.

Representatives of AIDWA T Kasturi, Md Bhobi, Venkatamma, Bhagyamma, Naga Lakshmi, Chandra Kala, Mary and KVPS leader Ganta Bhumaiah were present.
