Construction of toilets begins in Kothagudem
In response to a report appeared on Tuesday’s edition of The Hans India highlighting the plight of tribal dancers of Koyarangapuram, Bhadradri-Kothagudem District Rural Development Agency Project Director Jagath Kumar Reddy has initiated measures to construct 80 individual sanitary toilets in the village under the Swachh Bharat programme.
Kothagudem: In response to a report appeared on Tuesday’s edition of The Hans India highlighting the plight of tribal dancers of Koyarangapuram, Bhadradri-Kothagudem District Rural Development Agency Project Director Jagath Kumar Reddy has initiated measures to construct 80 individual sanitary toilets in the village under the Swachh Bharat programme.
On Wednesday, construction of toilets in the village has commenced in the residences of Sode Venkanna, Sode Nagulu and Sode China Gangamma. In fact, the tribal dancers (Kommu Nrutyam) are being used at various inaugural ceremonies of government programmes, but little has been done to improve their lot. The residents of Koyarangapuram sought benefit under the double bed-room home scheme for the homeless poor.
