The temple Executive Officer K Prabhakr Srinivas said the main events of Mukkoti festival will be held at December 28 and 29. Teppothsavam will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm on December 28 at Godavari River. The Uttara Dwaram, also called as Vykunta Dwaram will be opened in the early hours of 5 am on December 29. Lord Sita Ramachandra Swamy will appear as Maha Vishnu to the devotees during this time.

The EO said two lakh laddu prasadham will be kept at different counters for sale around the temple premises. “We are expecting one lakh devotees to visit Bhadrachalam from various states”. The officials are arranging separate queue lines for Lord darshan. As part of the festival, Adhyanotsavalu will commence from December 19.
