The government had decided to give a stipend of Rs 1000 to financially support the poor students of Backward Classes (BC) studying in 9th and 10th class across various schools in the district.

Gadwal: The government had decided to give a stipend of Rs 1000 to financially support the poor students of Backward Classes (BC) studying in 9th and 10th class across various schools in the district.

As part of this, the Department of Backward Classes’ welfare has sought online applications from all those 9th and 10th class students whose parent’s annual income is less than Rs 1.5 lakh in rural areas and Rs 2 lakh in urban areas.

Interested candidates can visit the website www.telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in for submitting their online application and the hard copies of the same can be sent to the BC welfare department for sanctioning the stipend.

“The government is for the first time has decided to provide a stipend of Rs 1000 for the 9th and 10th class BC students. All the students with low income are eligible to apply. The submission of the application is done only through online.

However, the hard copy of the same should be submitted to the department so that necessary sanction proceedings will be done,” informed P Meghanadh, BC Welfare and Development Officer, Jogulamaba Gadwal.
