Tight security arrangements have been made for the two-day Mukkoti Ekadasi festival celebrations, said Assistant Superintendent of Police P Sunil Dutt here on Wednesday.
Bhadrachalam: Tight security arrangements have been made for the two-day Mukkoti Ekadasi festival celebrations, said Assistant Superintendent of Police P Sunil Dutt here on Wednesday.
Speaking to The Hans India, he said as many as 1,200 police personnel would be deployed for the main events of the festival. The temple town of Bhadradri would be divided into 12 sectors, including the main traffic area, Godavari Ghat, Mitila Stadium and main temple. Ten DSPs, 25 CIs and 75 SIs would be on duty, he admitted.
The ASP stated that the special force has been checking vehicles as part of their duty. Security would be provided for VIPs coming for darshan in the temple. The tight security would cause no hardship for the devotees at the main events. He appealed to the people to support the police to conduct the festival peacefully and successfully.
