Khammam: District secretary of Student Federation of India (SFI) T Nagaraju alleged that the TRS government has deceived the unemployed youth with hollow promise of one lakh jobs. Speaking at the Federation’s general body meeting in Khammam on Friday, Nagaraju said that the Telangana movement was held for water, funds and jobs for the people of the region. “Before coming to power, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao promised one lakh jobs to unemployed youth of the State.

However, the government could only fill 7,000 posts in its three-and-a-half years rule. This is nothing but deceiving the jobless youth who had tall hopes on the government,” he alleged. Criticising that the government was unmoved despite unemployed and several peoples’ organisations taking up protests seeking jobs, he informed that the bus yatra which was taken out by the student organisations associated with Left parties under Udyama Sadana Samithi demanding jobs would reach Khammam on December 31.

He said a meeting would be held on the same day at 4 pm and urged all unemployed youth and students to participate in the meeting and make it a huge success. Federation leaders Vijay, Bhavani, Ramya, Gayatri and Swathi were present along with others.
