Kothagudem: The 69th Republic Day event was celebrated in a grand note by the District Administration here on Friday. The District Offices were decorated with National flags on the eve of Republic day. The programme was held at Pragathi Grounds in Kothagudem.
The District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu participated in the programme. He received guard of honour from the police, scouts and guide students after hoisting the National flag.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the Bhadradri-Kothagudem district was more ahead than other district in the implementation of the government schemes. The district has been witnessed good progress in the development activities, he added. He explained the development works which were took place recently in the district. He said the prestigious programme of the State government, the land records purification, was completed within the stipulated time.
Haritha Haram programme, double bed room schemes, Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya being were being progressed in a good manner in the district. As many as 60,000 saplings were planted in various places in the district with the full coordination of people, he said. 90 per cent of the works were completed in the Mission Bhagiratha scheme, he added.
In the Agency area, the corporate health services are available from last one year, he said. Later, the District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu distributed merit certificates to the 169 employees in various departments in the district. The Cultural programme was conducted by the school children. The Tribal dance performance of the school children was impressed all the spectators who were present at the event.
Superintendent of Police Amber Kishore Jha, Joint Collector M Ram Kishan, DRO Kiran Kumar, DRDA Project Director P Jagath Kumar Reddy, RDO Ravindranath, DMHO Dr Dayanananth Swamy and other district officers participated in the programme.
