Khammam: Every police personnel must discharge their duties with the aim of implementing Citizen Friendly Policing, suggested Y Nagi Reddy, the North Zone Inspector General of Police (IGP).

He was the chief guest at the Passing Out parade, organised in City Police Training Centre with 246 Armed Stipendiary Trainee Constables belonging to Hyderabad and Cyberabad, who completed nine months training, here in Khammam on Monday.

Every trainee constable was given laptop and special training to gain technological knowledge. They were also given training on how to investigate and nab criminals involved in criminal activities like child abuse, women trafficking etc.

The IGP accompanied with Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqbal received the guard of honour from the trainee constables. Later addressing them, the IGP said that the government has taken several measures to maintain law and order in the State and to strengthen police department along with developing the entire police system using advanced and modern techniques.

As part of that, the government had appointed 10,000 constables and taking steps for recruiting extra 18,000 members this year to strengthen every police station with armed police personnel for rendering better services to the people, he informed.

The trainee armed constables, who are going to be a part of the police department, must discharge their duties perfectly with full commitment in maintaining law and order and in nabbing criminals and seeing that they are punished for their offence. In doing their duty, they should not cause any inconvenience to the public and must get good name and fame to the district, advised IGP Y Nagi Reddy.
