On Friday, Rao along with BJP state leader Paduri Karuna launched Miryalaguda constituency-level Kabaddi tournament at Government Boys Junior College grounds in the town.

Miryalaguda: Nehru Yuva Kendra vice-president Shekar Rao advised youth to play sports and games to get physically fit and to achieve mental stability. On Friday, Rao along with BJP state leader Paduri Karuna launched Miryalaguda constituency-level Kabaddi tournament at Government Boys Junior College grounds in the town.

Stating that Kabaddi is India’s rural game and a game of team work, Rao appreciated Ravi Social Service Foundation for organising the Kabaddi tournament to bring out the hidden talent of rural youth. He advised youth to practice sports regularly to get perfection in selected game and also advised them to realise the dreams of parents and themselves through hardwork and commitment.

Ravi Social Service Foundation chairman Ravikanth Reddy stated that youth were backbone of the society and should select their interested field to prove themselves. In the process of reaching the targets, one must play games and sports to relive themselves from the stress.

First, second, third and fourth place teams of the tournament would get cash prize of Rs 40,000, Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively, Ravikanth Reddy informed. Players of Kabaddi teams from Miryalaguda constituency attended the programme.
