Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam held in Khammam
As part of Sri Rama Navami celebrations, the representatives of the Ashta Lakshmi Vibhava Deepika Association organised a massive Samuhika Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam here on Tuesday. As many as 1,008 participated in the celebrations at Pavilion Grounds here.

Speaking on the occasion, the Ashta Lakshmi Vibhava Deepika Association president Vemulapalli Venkateshwar Rao said that to mark the celestial wedding ceremony of Lord Rama with his consort Sita, the massive Samuhika Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam was organized under the supervision of Sri Pithambaram Raghunathacharya Swamy. This programme was also aimed at the well-being of Khammam city and all sections people in the world. The women who would recite this Parayanam would lead a healthy and prosperous life with the blessings of Lord Sri Mannarayan, he added.
He also said that a series of programmes would also be conducted marking the Sri Ramanavami celebrations at Sri Rama Temple at Gandhi Chowk such as Kanakabhishekam on March 28, Pushpabhishekam on March 29 and Pavalimpu Seva on March 30.
He urged the devotees to attend in large numbers the various programmes. A large number of devotees, mostly women, dressed in traditional attire, attended the programme. The ‘Ashta Lakshmi Vibhava Deepika Association’ Secretary Kuruvella Venkatajagan Mohan Rao and the Treasurer Vajrapu Anjaiah were present along with others.
