Khammam: The 111th birth anniversary of Babu Jagjivan Ram was celebrated by the representatives of Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) here on Thursday.

TJS district convenor S Papa Rao paid floral tributes to the statue of Babu Jagjivan Ram here at PG College centre here.Speaking on the occasion Papa Rao exhorted the people belonging to SC, ST, BC and Minorities, who constitute about 93 per cent of total population, to fight unitedly to acquire political power and achieve social justice.

Both the State and Central governments are taking the innocent people for a ride by making false promise. But, in fact, the governments have adopted anti-people’s policies, he said.TJS leaders Bhadru Naik, Venkateshwarlu, T Ramu, Deepak, Kiran, Naresh, Nagaraju, Ramesh, Srinu, Ravi, Sai and Suresh were present. The representatives of TNGO’s Housing Building Society observed the 111th birth anniversary of the Babu Jagjivan Ram here.

President of the Society Aluri Srinivas Rao along with others paid rich floral tributes to the statue of Babu Jagjivan Ram here at NTR bypass road in Khammam on Thursday.Speaking on the occasion, Srinivas Rao said that Babu Jagjivan Ram was a great freedom fighter. He exhorted the youth to follow in his footsteps.

Members of the Society K Durga Prasad, Srinivas Rao, B Venkateshwar Rao, K Srinivas, M Gopal, T Srikanth, Hari Narayana, Ramana Yadav, Rama Krishna, Sridevi and Veena Kumari were present.Kula Vivaksham Porata Samiti (KVPS) Nandipati Manohar and its leaders organised celebrations here.Representatives of the KVPS celebrated the 111th birth anniversary of Babu Jagjivaram.
