Mattampally (Suryapet): Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy here on Wednesday accused TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy of being jealous of the welfare schemes being implemented by the State government to make agriculture a profitable venture.

After participating in Silver Jubliee celebrations of Shubhavartha Church at Mattampally in Huzurnagar constituency, the Minister told the media that the Congress has set an agenda to create hurdles in the way of irrigation projects.

He said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had redesigned the irrigation projects to ensure that they serve the farmers. The Congress leaders became habituated to make baseless allegations of corruption against everyone, he said. He said the people would teach the Congress a lesson, he felt.

It was the TRS government in entire country to introduce the scheme to provide input subsidy to every farmer, he said. Input subsidy of Rs 4,000 to each farmer per an acre would be launched on May 10, he said.
