Farmers brought 85,000 bags paddy to the Suryapet market on Thursday. As the officials withdrew the token system, traders took the advantage of it and quoted less than minimum support price of the produce. The farmers alleging that the officials had collided with the traders.

The farmers called off the agitation after Joint Collector Sanjeeva Reddy intervened and promised to ensure minimum support price for their produce.
