Chityal farmers up in arms against chemical units
Farmers in and around Chityal town on Thursday urged the sarpanch and officials of the Gram Panchayath not to give permission to chemical industries on the outskirts of Chityal.
Chityal (Nalgonda): Farmers in and around Chityal town on Thursday urged the sarpanch and officials of the Gram Panchayath not to give permission to chemical industries on the outskirts of Chityal.
Scores of farmers submitted a memorandum to the Chityal major Gram Panchayath sarapanch Gundeboina Laxmi and Panchyath Secretary Gundu Venkateshwarlu in this regard. They expressed the fear that the chemical industries, if permitted, would make the lands barren. Local Congress and CPI-M leaders expressed their solidarity with framers.
