Kodangal: AIMIM leaders here on Friday said they would oppose the visit of Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali to Kodangal on Saturday for distribution of sewing machines to the beneficiaries selected under the self- employment scheme.

Speaking to media on Kodangal MIM leader S B Gulshan said, “Selection of the beneficiaries has not been made in fair manner and priority has been given to only the TRS cadre.

We are vehemently opposing this kind of attitude by the government and demand that the government give equal opportunities to all sections of the people to benefit under the self-employment programme,” said Gulshan, President of AIMIM from Kodangal.

Gulshan further said earlier even though the sewing machines had come and were kept in the storeroom for more than six months no TRS leaders bothered to ask the officials to distribute the machines.

However, it was AIMIM party which raked up the issue and brought it to the notice of the MRO. But now what they are doing is selected beneficiaries only from their party and providing sewing machines to their own workers and ignoring the other poor people.
