Balantrapu receives Life Time Achievement Award

Vijayawada: Veteran writer, singer and musician Balantrapu Rajanikanta Rao was honoured with Life Time Achievement Award at a function here on Thursday. The Andhra Pradesh Grandhalaya Samstha chairman, Dr Turlapati Kutumba Rao, Krishna District Additional Joint Collector, N Ramesh Kumar, All India Radio Vijayawada Station retired director, R Anantha Padmanabha Rao and others presented the Award to Rajanikantha Rao. The speakers hailed the contribution of Balantrapu Rajanikantha Rao to the music world, particularly through the All India Radio. They said that the musician deserved more awards for his services. Krishnaveni Creations, a cultural organisation that had sponsored the Award, recalled the days of Rajanikantha Rao at the All India Radio and his mesmerising voice.The Krishnaveni Creations president, Ch V Paideswara Rao was in the chair.
