Media highlighting trivial issues: Mandali

Nuzivid (Krishna): Former Minister and AP Official Language Commission Chairman Mandali Buddha Prasad expressed displeasure over the prevailing political system and the functioning of the media. He participated in former Rajya Sabha MP and CPI leader Dasari Nagabushana Rao's 5th death anniversary at Amar Bhavan in the town on Saturday. The programme was organised by CPI. Speaking at the programme, Prasad expressed concern over the decline in ideological politics. He said that political leaders were making personal comments against their opponents and pointed out that media is highlighting these personal comments and trivial issues. Senior CPI leaders felicitated Buddha Prasad in the programme. He said that the political leaders were working with the sole aim of amassing wealth. Buddha Prasad lauded the services of Dasari Nagabushana Rao. He said that Dasari was born in a rich landlord family and worked for the welfare of the poor. He appealed to the political leaders to work for the welfare of the society.
