Inculcate economic use of water, Rosaiah urges people

Guntur: Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah called upon people not to waste drinking water and inculcate the habit of its economic use.A He inaugurated two water supply tankers operated under the auspices of Kanna Rangaiah Charitable Trust at Konda Venkatappayya Colony here on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that every family should ensure that it used water necessary to meet the requirement. The efforts of the Minister for Agriculture Kanna Lakshminarayana to quench the thirst of people of the city were praiseworthy, he said. Rosaiah laid foundation stone for different development works worth Rs 1.11 crore at two local colonies. Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham pontiff Jayendra Saraswati urged people to make proper use of water supplied by the Trust. Rajya Sabha member JD Seelam, members of State Legislative Council Singam Basava Punnaiah and Nannapaneni Rajakumari and others were present. Earlier, Rosaiah participated as chief guest at the swearing in ceremony of executive body of Arya Vysya Yuvajana Sanghala Samakhya.
