Huge public meet in city on Sept. 20

Vijayawada: After successfully organising the Mahila Garjana on a large scale, the Rashtra Samaikya Parirakshana Samithi is set to organise a huge public meeting in the city similar to the ‘Save Andhra Pradesh’ meeting held at Hyderabad earlier.

Addressing the media here on Sunday, APNGOs president A Vidya Sagar announced that they would conduct a meeting on September 20 at Swarajya Maidan in a bid to intensify the stir. He said that the meeting was aimed at educating public about repercussions of division on Seemandhra.

All the associations, say students, doctors, Chartered Accountants, teachers, farmers and private employees will be invited to participate in the meeting in large number. Any movement taken up here in Vijayawada will deter the government to proceed on bifurcation, said Vidya Sagar.

Also, he reminded the public representatives of their duty to save the region and called upon the public to make the meeting a grand success. House-to house campaign would be taken up in the name of ‘Gadapa Gadapa ki mi padayata’ at mandal level, he added.

He said that a huge public meeting would be held on October 2nd at Hanuman Junction for the farmers of Krishna and Godavari belts emphasising on the losses they would incur if division takes place, said Samaikyandhra JAC advisor A Bhavani Prasad.

For youth, a meeting would be conducted on September 18th to discuss on the career prospects of students, said student JAC convener Devineni Avinash. All the representatives and leaders of associations and organisations related to Samaikyandhra agitation from Krishna, Guntur, West Godavari and Prakasham districts would participate in the meetings. Chartered Accountants convener S Akkaiah Naidu, Indian Medical Association convener Dr P V Ramana Murthy and others were present during the meet.
