SP warns factionists of severe action
District Superintendent of Police Dr K Raghuram Reddy on Saturday warned the market yard chairman Boya Govind and Boya Potanna and Lakshminarayana and TDP leader Vaikuntham Prasad that severe action would be initiated against them if they did not stop threatening the contractors for commissions in the market yard. It may be recalled that there were allegations against the market yard chairman that they were resorting to extortions from the contractors and conspiracy was hatched to murder Vaikuntham Prasad.

The SP said that if anybody was indulging in illegal activities creating law and order problems, stern action would be taken against them. If anybody indulged in extorting money in the name of commissions, they would not be tolerated, he said. He said that vigilance has been intensified in faction-affected villages. He appealed to the people not to be afraid to inform the police about the rowdy elements and mercenaries in the district. He appealed to one and all to cooperate with the police in maintaining law and order in the district.
