Kurnool: Rahul Gandhi would be elected to Parliament with 10 lakh majority from Nandyala Parliament seat if UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi formed a separate Rayalaseema state, Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy, president of Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samiti party said here on Sunday.

Recalling that the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi got elected from Medak Parliament seat in the past, Byreddy said that Rahul Gandhi wanted to re-enact it now. “The Congress is not confident enough to get Rahul Gandhi elected from Rae Bareli or Amethi and that is why they are dividing the state to send him to Medak Parliament seat,” he added. He said that Vijayasanthi was called for a meeting in Delhi to discuss that only, he revealed.Byreddy concluded his two-day pada yatra here on Sunday to mark his protest against the GO 72.

He lambasted the government for doing over justice to one area and total injustice to another area at a time the state was on the verge of division. He said that the chief minister was shedding crocodile tears for Rayalaseema. “Even before the division of the State, the government has done gross injustice to Rayalaseema,” he added. Congress, TDP, YSR Congress, BJP,CPI have been enacting dramas for the sake votes, he alleged.
