The Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Telangana Backward Classes Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (MJPTBCWREIS) is all set to launch sports schools from the next academic year.

These schools will strive to produce national and international players in various games and would boost the sports culture in the state. According to the sources, two schools would be set up in the next academic year.

The admission would be based on physical tests. Along with sports, the students would also be taught academic courses. In addition foundation courses would be offered for the joint entrance examination, National eligibility-cum-entrance test and the UPSC exam for civil services.

Currently, there are as many as 142 schools being run by the MJPTBCWREIS, including 69 boys schools and 73 girls schools, in the state that are providing free boarding and mess facility and offering English medium education for the students for free.
