According to the press release by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, at least 162 trees were uprooted and 19 electric poles were brought down. Places including Secunderabad, Begumpet, Khairatabad, Hitech city and Punjagutta witnessed traffic jams due to waterlogging.

According to the reports, a man named Khaseem Ali died after coming into contact with a live wire while another man is said to have been washed away in a drain in Kala Pathar.

Few people sustained injuries after a 100-year-old tree crashed on the Shama Cafe in Moghalpur.

Meanwhile, the municipal corporation is working on addressing water stagnation at 38 places.
