Jana Sena chief and actor Pawan Kalyan said that his party would contest all the seats in the 2019 elections. This pronouncement is being seen as a departure from his earlier stand that he would fight in an alliance with the Left Parties. Now he has indicated that there might not be any association with the Left parties.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that he did not contest in 2014 only to understand various issues. If he wanted, he would have fought in association with the TDP and the BJP. “I am very patient. In fact, I waited for 12 years for a hit,” he quipped. He said the Jana Sena would prepare its election manifesto involving every party worker.
On the occasion, former test cricketer Venugopala Rao joined the Jana Sena.
