Search Operations by UH3H Helicopter continue

Search operations for remaining three missing personnel from the capsized country boat at Pasuvula Lanka near Polavarm, Rajahmundry continue with naval helicopter UH3H on sixth day. Extensive search efforts over the river, river banks and area extending into the sea as well, by the naval aircraft resulted in locating three bodies till now.

Since receipt of information on the tragedy, Navy has been working in close association with state authorities and provided support including aircraft assets, specialist divers and communication equipment.

Currently the naval diving team together with naval aircraft are assisting the NDRF and SDRF team in the search of remaining bodies. A boat capsized in Godavari river at Pasuluva Lanka on 14 July 18 wherein six personnel had been reported missing since.
