KTR makes a birthday request

Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao has made a request to the party workers, leaders and others to refrain from putting up up any advertisements or hoardings for his birthday which falls on July 24.

He instead urged the ones who plan to spend money on hoardings, advertisements and flower bouquets on his birthday to donate the amount to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF), which can provide help in medical treatment to poor and needy who cannot afford the treatment.

KTR even directed GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy to remove such birthday hoardings in the city at the earliest.

Meanwhile, the Minister has been invited to address the Global Climate Action Summit that will be held at San Fransisco, California from September 12-14. He has been invited by Governor of California Edmund G Brown Jr who requested him to speak to an audience including government representatives on the topic of future of energy and transport systems along with presenting initiatives taken by Telangana government to tackle the issue of climate change.
