A youngster committed suicide on Friday over Andhra Pradesh Special Category Status (SCS).
The victim, a handloom weaver left a suicide note which said that the main reason for his committing suicide was dejection over AP not getting special status.
The incident took place at Madannapalle in Chittoor district.
Police found the suicide note, receipt for Rs. 5,000 to an orphanage, which the victim seemed to have donated. Behind the receipt, the youngster had written on.
Several political parties are organizing protests at Madanapalle for a long time now, demanding special status asserting that it is their right.
