New Advocate General of Telangana appointed

Senior advocate Banda Shivananda Prasad has been appointed as the new Advocate General of Telangana. The name was cleared by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Friday.

Hailing from Jangaon, Shivananda Prasad is a noted senior advocate practicing in the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad and has been asked to take over immediately.

Also, the orders accepting the resignation of former Advocate General Desai Prakash Reddy to the post has been issued by the state government. Mr. Reddy tendered his resignation in March this year and the post had remained vacant ever since.
