Harish Rao who exuded the confidence of breaking his previous record by getting over one lakh votes retained his words. Rao won over TJS candidate Bhavani Reddy with 1,18,699 majority. It is learned that 80 per cent of the total votes were polled for Harish Rao.
In 2014, Rao won from Siddipet with a majority of 95,328 votes. The total votes polled for Harish Rao in 2014 are 1,08,699. Rao who contested from Siddipet during bi-elections in 2004 has never looked back in his political career. He emerged as five-time MLA from Siddipet assembly constituency.
