Man suspected of honour killing his daughter in Andhra Pradesh
A suspected case of honour killing, a man allegedly killed his own 20 year old daughter identified as Kota Vaishnavi by asphyxiating her to death at their residence at Kothapalem village under Talluru Mandal in Andhra Pradeshs Prakasham district on Monday
VIJAYAWADA: A suspected case of honour killing, a man allegedly killed his own 20 year old daughter identified as Kota Vaishnavi by asphyxiating her to death at their residence at Kothapalem village under Talluru Mandal in Andhra Pradesh's Prakasham district on Monday.
The deceased vaishnavi was a degree second year student at a private college in Ongole town. According to Tallur police, the incident happened in the early hours of the day when Kota Krishna Reddy allegedly killed his daughter after a heated argument with her.
Cops said that Vaishnavi was in a relationship with a youth, sunil, from the same college who was said to be from the different caste.
vaishnani had been protesting against her parents and sought to marry Sunil for the past few months, the cops said. On Monday, Krishna Reddy got to know that her daughter was plotting to elope with sunil after their neighbours leaked a suspicious phone conversation she had with him on Sunday.
Infuriated, Krishna Reddy assaulted her and asphyxiated her to death in an impulsive act. The police investigation is on.
