NIRD&PR inks pact with BDL for free supply of sanitary napkins
The National Institute of Rural Development Panchayati Raj NIRDPR, Hyderabad has entered into a pact with Ms Bharat Dynamics Limited, a Government of India Enterprise, Hyderabad to create an awareness on Hygienic practices and free supply of Sanitary Napkins to Girl Students of Government Schools in Five Mandals of Ranga Reddy District, Telangana under their Corporate Social Responsibility
Hyderabad: The National Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (NIRD&PR), Hyderabad has entered into a pact with M/s. Bharat Dynamics Limited, a Government of India Enterprise, Hyderabad to create an awareness on Hygienic practices and free supply of Sanitary Napkins to Girl Students of Government Schools in Five Mandals of Ranga Reddy District, Telangana under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
In this regard an MoU was signed by Prof. R. Murugesan, Head, Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility, Public, Private Partnership & People’s Action, NIRD&PR and S. Narayanan, General Manager, M/s. Bharat Dynamics Limited on 5th February, 2019.
The objective of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is to establish a strategic alliance and collaboration between the two organisations for creating awareness and free supply of sanitary napkins to the girl students studying in the government schools situated in rural Telangana. The project would be a new and innovative model for hygienic practices and development of all the stakeholders partnering through institutions and players in the specified field of rural sanitation and hygiene and other vital services. These, inter-alia may include planning, undertaking capacity building, innovative pilots free distribution of sanitary napkins and knowledge support.
NIRDPR will diligently undertake all such activities necessary for creation of awareness and supply of Sanitary Napkins to the girl students studying in the rural government schools in the vicinity of five mandals namely Rajendranagar, Moinabad, Gandipet, Serilingampally and Shamshabad of Ranga Reddy district in Telangana state which is proposed under CSR initiatives of M/s. Bharat Dynamics Limited, Hyderabad.
